JOSHWAY was founded in 2023 in memory of Josh Robertson, whose struggles with mental health and addiction became the inspiration for a brighter future for others.
Out of loss came purpose — a commitment to ensuring no young person ever feels invisible. In just two years, JOSHWAY has grown from a vision into a trusted partner for schools, local leaders, United Way, and Pennsylvania businesses through EITC certification.
While the story began with one family, it has become a movement to give every child the chance to thrive in confidence, resilience, and hope.

Youth earn certificates and confidence through program completion, demonstrate measurable growth in digital wellbeing, discover a growth mindset, and gain practical life skills and identity clarity.
Next, they act on their JOSHWAY Pledge by volunteering, launching personal or community projects, starting podcasts, applying for early college credit, or exploring trades.
Youth sustain positive pathways to college enrollment, internships, entrepreneurship, and peer leadership within their school or community — while maintaining healthier digital habits, self-esteem, and resilience.
